About & Vision

From the engine today, to the hydrogen economy tomorrow

Zephyron is a Universiti Malaya deep-tech spin-off on a dual-growth path commercial hydrogen carbon cleaning now, scalable green-hydrogen production next

Our Story

Born from research. Built for the real world. Zephyron began in the labs of Universiti Malaya, where our team set out to solve one of clean energy’s hardest problems: the high cost and complexity of hydrogen production. The result was the ZMAE, a patented, membrane-less electrolyzer. Rather than wait years for the hydrogen economy to arrive, we brought the technology to market today through ZMAE-1, a carbon-cleaning system already deployed in workshops, generating revenue while validating the core science. Backed by Cradle Fund, we bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and real-world deployment

The Roadmap

A dual-growth model

Now (ZMAE-1)

Commercial carbon-cleaning system. Market-ready (TRL 7), actively deployed

Next (ZMAE-2)

Hydrogen production electrolyzer, in development

Vision

1MW pilot deployment within 12 months; decentralised, low-cost green hydrogen for emerging markets

Leadership Team

The people behind the technology

Dr. Muhammad Shakeel Ahmad

Chief Technical Officer (Inventor for ZMAE-1)

Dr. Lee Ching Shya

Chief Finance Officer

Recognition & Media

Recognised at home and on the world stage. Successfully demonstrated to automotive workshops, fleet operators, corporates and government agencies, including a presentation to Malaysia’s Transport Minister. Backed by Universiti Malaya and Cradle Fund

A gentle breeze for a greener tomorrow.
